Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Commentary #064, Atlantica (3): Part of Your World

This is video #064 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here:    • Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Playthrough #06...   Previously, the party restored relative peace to Halloween Town. However, there is a puzzle piece to collect out in the Curly Hill area (time 0:44). Technically, it requires some improved movement abilities, but the Emerald Blues' big whirlwind attack will enable Sora to get it. Fortunately, more than enough Emerald Blueses will spawn here. After a while, Sora manages to snag the "Sunset" Puzzle Piece (time 2:48). This piece depicts part of Goofy's shirt and a bit of Kairi's hair. It should be rotated so that Kairi's hair is in the upper-left corner. It goes in the third slot from the left in the fourth row from the top. Since Sora now knows the Magnet spell, he can advance the story over in Atlantica (time 4:14). Magnet is required to move that princely statue Flounder found. Once they are in Atlantica, they chat with Flounder (time 4:40). Time to help move that statue. Too bad the statue-moving process is not shown. Anyway, this begins "Chapter Two: Part of Your World." An absolutely wonderful song. Sebastian is not too happy about this turn of events! After the scenes, it is time for another musical challenge (time 5:57). This time, some of the button presses will require the Triangle button rather than the X button. The circle is blue for the X button, green for the Triangle button. To pass this challenge, the player must score at least five Excellents in a row. Pretty tricky. The combo will be broken if the player scores a Bad OR a Good. When the musical challenge is over, it doesn't seem that Flounder's gift has improved matters any (time 8:06). In fact, it seems matters are worse! Then, Sebastion goes to make a report to the king of the seas (time 8:29). Such confidence the crustacean inspires! Afterwards, Sebastian comes to bring his new music to the party (time 9:46). Ha ha, I don't think we want Donald on Ariel's part! It seems too difficult for the party as they are now. Sora will need a Drive Gauge of 5 before the party can perform this next bit. The party gets booted out to the world map (time 10:52). The party will go right back down to repeat "Part of Your World" for Jiminy's Journal (time 11:26). I'm definitely glad Jiminy doesn't have a particular score requirement for this one. Afterwards, we review the new Jiminy's Journal entries for Atlantica (time 15:21). There are not a whole lot. Then, the party goes back to Olympus Coliseum (time 16:34). After setting up, they redo the Pain and Panic Cup to get Jiminy's challenge score of 2,000 points (time 17:28). It is not a terribly challenging score to get. Magnet will make it a little easier, along with well-executed Trinity limits. Match 8 with the Rapid Thrusters is a good place to abuse Magnet. Upon completion, the party has earned enough points to satisfy Jiminy's requirement (time 26:00). Sadistic little cricket. Afterwards, Sora drops off his synthesis materials with the Moogle (time 27:10). Next, the party will head off to the Pride Lands. Thank you for watching!
