We Spent 2 Days Blocking a Mountain Stream to Catch Fish and Grill Them | Rural Vietnam
For two days, we went to a small mountain stream in northern Vietnam with people from the village to catch fish in a very local way. Instead of using fishing rods, everyone worked together to block a small part of the stream with stones, cloth, and mud. As the water became lower, we searched under rocks and along the streambed for fish hiding in the shallow water. It was wet, tiring, funny, and full of small surprises. Sometimes we found fish. Sometimes they slipped away. But everyone kept laughing and helping each other. After catching enough fish, we started a small fire beside the stream, grilled the fish right there, and shared a simple meal together. This was not a big feast. It was not a survival challenge. It was just a simple village experience — two days by the stream, catching fish with everyone, cooking beside the water, and enjoying a small meal that felt special because we made it together. My name is Ly, and this is a small part of life in rural Vietnam. #RuralVietnam #VietnamVillageLife #CatchAndCook #MountainStream #VillageLife
