This V12 Might Be Too Big for the Chassis
The time has come to drop see if the engine will fit in the chassis!! A bit more fabrication work first and then we get down to business... it's all a bit touch and go...! This video is episode 35 in a series following the custom build of a 1930's Brooklands style vintage speedster. This car uses a 1949 American La France v12 petrol engine which is mated to a 1932 Rolls Royce Gearbox. The chassis is a 1935 Daimler. This project involved the manufacture of many bespoke parts, involving machining, welding, fabrication and general 'inventing'.
