El Gibor Nepali Baptist Church Kohima wins Inter-Church Battle of Bands org - Yimkhiung Baptist Borü

El Gibor of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima emerged champions of the Inter-Church Battle of Bands – Beat of Glory, held at the State Academy Hall, Kohima, on Friday. Organised by the Youth Ministry of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Kohima under the theme "Worship Through Music", the competition brought together 11 church bands in a celebration of faith, music and talent. As part of the contest, each band performed the common song "God's Design (BOW)" along with one original composition. The programme was hosted by Runshito Lims, while T. Wongtokiu, Pastor of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Kohima, offered the invocation. Faith Band performed as the guest band. Following a closely contested competition, El Gibor claimed the championship and received a cash prize of Rs. 70,000. The Most Promising Band award was presented to DCY of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Kohima, which received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000. Individual awards were also presented to outstanding performers. Imkong of Affinity (Naya Jeevan Baptist Church) was adjudged Best Keyboardist, Danrito of DCY received the Best Drummer award, Novin Gurung of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima was named Best Bassist, Akhum of DCY won the Best Guitarist award, and Kiukhum of The Ablaze (YBBC) was honoured as Best Vocalist. The programme concluded with a benediction by Wongso, Church Clerk of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Kohima, followed by a photo session with the participating bands and award winners.
