🚤 Leaving Manchester… just the two of us this time. After an amazing journey cruising through central Manchester with three friends, it’s time to part ways and continue on alone. No backup, no convoy — just us, our boat, and the unknown ahead. As still feeling new liveaboard continuous cruisers, we’re still finding our feet… Next up: The Ashton flight. 18 locks. One after another. No shortcuts. We start strong, working our way through… until halfway up, everything takes a sudden turn. We hear the clattering of metal and our boat looses power… Stuck in the middle of the lock flight, something feels seriously wrong. In that moment, it hits us — are we actually stranded? Right here, in the worst possible place? 😬 Is this the end of the journey… or can we somehow get moving again? With no real plan and only a vague idea of where we’re heading, we push on, take on the remaining locks, and search for somewhere — anywhere — to moor after a long, exhausting day.
