I visited the Dusit Thani Pattaya, a hotel with over 6,000 Google reviews, for obvious reasons. Opened in 1988, it's a 5-star hotel that still boasts some of the best location, atmosphere, and service in Pattaya. Terminal 21, Pattaya Beach, and Beach Road are all within walking distance, and the direct access to Beach Road through the back entrance of the pool was a huge plus. The grand, classic lobby, the courteous yet sophisticated staff, the lively lounge bar and happy hour, the two spacious pools, and the hotel garden—all of which made me wonder, "Is this really worth the price?" The rooms aren't as luxurious as those at newer hotels, but they're clean and well-maintained, and the spacious balconies made them comfortable enough for a family trip. The fact that rooms can be booked for around 100,000 won during the off-season is another huge draw. I once again realized that there's a reason why a hotel has been consistently loved for nearly 40 years. If you're looking for a value-for-money 5-star hotel in Pattaya, Dusit Thani Pattaya is a highly recommended choice.
