Meramec River overnight float, Missouri's "River of Death"

"We take an overnight canoe float on the Meramec River, including Maramec Spring Park the 5th largest spring in Missouri. We float over fifteen miles on a river early settlers called the "river of death". We start in Steelville MO. close to St. James MO. We use Adventure Outdoors to shuttle our canoe floating from Scott Ford aka. Hwy 8 to Indian Springs. We visit a trout hatchery and old Iron forge at Maramec Spring Park. An American bald eagle, deer, muskrat, and a surprise river monster, are some of the highlights from this trip.
