We leave Palmetto Island State Park and go over a lot of cool bridges and through some rain to get to our next Louisiana State Park, Bayou Segnette. At this park we explore New Orleans, Westwego, visit Bourbon Street (mid-week and early evening to avoid crowds), we do some shopping, see Lake Pontchartrain and we FINALLY see an alligator (we actually see two and they were very close to us)! Bayou Segnette isn't bad, except for those bugs....
