Creating Realistic Stone Statues for Halloween using a Mud Mixture

We made three life-size fake stone statues. This faux stone prop making idea is an easy way to create a realistic stone statue. We used latex masks, vintage clothing, foam dummy bodies, real looking plastic hands, and covered everything with a cement mortar mixture. We did use chicken wire to support the lower portion of the dress. Once the thin set dried everything was painted with a Drylok and aged to match the look of the silicone masks. We carried the three statues through the Winchester Mystery haunted house walkthrough and placed them in one of the many monster areas located in the maze.
