Nowadays, people often raise Koi fish in glass tanks or cement ponds placed in constructions to create landscapes. Here are some instructions on how to raise Koi fish to grow fast, not die when released into new ponds. Koi fish raising techniques include different factors but in general there are 3 basic issues: choosing fish breeds, designing fish ponds and choosing food. 1. Techniques for choosing koi fish breeds Choosing healthy fish breeds, swimming beautifully and without deformities, etc. will make raising Koi fish much less difficult. There are many types of Koi fish on the market today with diverse shapes, sizes and colors. Among them, the four most prominent are Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese or European Koi. Japanese Koi have blood red or chili red color. Other types of fish only have orange red or orange color. Japanese Koi have bright colors and sharp edges. On both sides, there are large and even color patches if you look from above along the back. As for Japanese Butterfly Koi, the fins, fins and tail are very long and the color covers the tail... Preparing the pond One of the important techniques for raising fish is making a pond for Koi fish. Although it is an outdoor pond or an indoor pond, the techniques are the same, but if the pond is large, it will have a greater depth than a mini Koi pond, so farmers need to pay attention to the filtration and water discharge system. This will avoid the situation of moss growing quickly, which is not good for the health of the fish. The depth for a large pond should be from 0.8 to 1m, and for a mini Koi pond, it is usually from 0.4 to 0.5m. You can use WUNMID disinfectant at a dose of 100g/200m3 of water to disinfect the entire tank before releasing the fish. After 24 hours, aerate and inoculate beneficial microorganisms. After 1 day, you can completely release the fish into the tank. 3. Prepare the water Water is for Koi fish like air is for humans. It is what maintains the life and development of fish, so you should pay attention to the biological and physical issues in the water source for raising fish. Some things to remember are: Suitable pH: 7 - 7.5; Tolerable pH range: 4 - 9; Temperature from 20-27 degrees Celsius; Minimum oxygen content: 2.5mg/L. Normally, after a period of raising fish, waste, mucus, sunlight... will cause algae and moss to grow more, affecting the oxygen in the pond, causing a lack of oxygen for fish to breathe. So you should add landscape trees around the pond to ensure the amount of oxygen. Try to keep the water temperature, pH threshold, and pH level stable, avoiding sudden changes that can shock and kill the fish. When changing water, you must change it slowly, not suddenly changing a large amount, which can easily shock the fish (so every 2 days, change 1/3 of the old water in the pond once).
