LIVE: The ARMY Theorist Corner Book Club - "The Little Prince"

Welcome to The ARMY Theorist Corner Book Club - where we read and discuss the books that have influenced BTS and their work in some way. Today's book is the beloved novella "The Little Prince" by French author and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This story's plot and symbols were heavily referenced in the live performances of Jin's Map of the Soul: 7 solo song, "Moon," but its themes of love, connection, and the things that really matter in life are influential in many other BTS works. The story follows an unnamed narrator who, lamenting that adult life and the adults around him don't seem to understand his way of thinking, finds his life turned upside down when he meets a mysterious young boy while stranded in the desert. Dubbing the child "the little prince," the narrator soon learns that the strange boy views the world in a unique way that challenges his own perceptions of life and the world around him. Today we'll be discussing why "The Little Prince" is so heavily referenced in "Moon," what we can take away from it, and what lessons the story - and BTS by extension - want us to learn because of it.
