UNIFIL - ONE YEAR SINCE 1701 (Part 1)

Part One of a 20-minute documentary on UNIFIL's activities and achievements over the one year period since Security Council Resolution 1701 was passed in August of 2006. After the 34-day war, following cessation of hostilities brokered by the United Nations in August 2006, thousands of international troops began to arrive in Lebanon. Under SCR 1701, UNIFIL expanded from 2000 to over 13000 troops to maintain peace and the cessation of hostilities throughout southern Lebanon.
