Is Worship Really a Burden?
Have you ever felt worship as a burden? School, exams, notifications, friends, family, responsibilities… life already feels full. Sometimes a person may think, “And on top of all this, worship too?” The Third Word opens exactly this question. It explains worship through the analogy of two soldiers. Both are ordered to travel to a distant city. On the way, they face two roads. The right road looks more disciplined. The soldier must carry a bag and a weapon. At first, this seems like a burden. But that bag and weapon protect him. He does not have to beg from others, and he does not tremble at every danger. The left road looks easier. There is no bag, no weapon, no visible weight. But the traveler becomes vulnerable. His body may feel lighter, but his heart becomes heavy with fear, need and dependence. In the analogy, the bag and weapon represent worship and God-consciousness. Yes, prayer, discipline and avoiding harmful desires require effort. But this effort protects the human being from heavier invisible burdens: meaninglessness, guilt, inner chaos, dependency and constant fear. Main message: Worship may look like a burden from the outside, but its meaning carries a deep lightness. Sometimes real freedom begins by understanding the purpose of the discipline you thought was heavy. #IsWorshipABurden #ThirdWord #KucukSozler #WorshipAndPeace #FaithAndLife #SpiritualDiscipline #RisaleiNur #BediuzzamanSaidNursi #InnerPeace #ForYoungMinds
