This adventure took us along three rivers in the interior of Kalimantan. We started with the Barito River, then entered the Pendreh River, and finally along a small, pristine river, the Briyoi River. This journey took place in the North Barito region of Central Kalimantan, about 350 km from Palangka Raya City. This is a pristine, remote area far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Along the way, we stopped several times in the forest. We discovered an extraordinary wealth of natural resources—from forest durian, luwi fruit, puak, tamarind, and various other rare fruits. Not only that, we also encountered beautiful forest orchids, sturdy ironwood trees, and rattan growing wild in the wild. This journey was both exciting and challenging. We had to navigate strong river currents, a quiet, secluded atmosphere, and hardly encountered any locals along the way. This was a true glimpse of life in the interior of Kalimantan, still green, natural, and rich in forest products, especially during the current fruit season.
