Trains in Mauritius (part 1)
An old map, a sense of adventure and some luck. We ventured off the beaten path and discovered vintage train stations in Mauritius. First we stubbled upon Mapou station, which will one day become a museum. Then onto Poudre D'Or and the building you can walk up to. Following the old track routes we made some remarkable finds, from old railway stations, pieces of track and still in use original post offices. 0:00 Start 0:10 Intro 0:36 Mapou, village of enthusiasm. 2:10 Mapou post office. 2:38 Mapou Aquaduct 4:17 Mapou Church 4:55 Poudre D'Or Hamlet 7:05 Last passanger train 7:28 Train tracks 8:00 The metro 8:25 Thank you. Please share this, so it can get out to more people, and maybe one of them will be able to help with part 2. Thanks. I have checked the map and there is lots more train stuff to discover. If you know of any near you or are part of a group that explores the forgotten in Mauritius, please contact me. My email is on my about page. Help me make the rest of the series by subscribing or putting a comment or even just a thumbs up. Thanks for watching.
