Flow Drill Tutorial (Kicking Drills 5)
This drill is based on a Kung Fu drill called Pak Sao. It has been altered and adapted to suit more Taekwon-Do style techniques. I first learned this drill from Master Brad Whitlow and have since played with it a lot and altered and added things to expand its use in my repertoire. This covers its use with the straight punch, hook punch, elbow and uppercut. I also discuss how to flow from this base drill into arm bars, how to break arm bars, and to maintain broken arm bars, and how to flow into wrist manipulations. I also discuss how to combine this drill with kicks. Please keep in mind that manipulating small joints can be very dangerous and should always be done under the supervision of an experienced instructor and even then done slowly and carefully with tap out signs discussed before you begin practicing with a partner.
