At face value, Alien Stage is a dystopian story about how aliens have taken over what we call Earth and forced humans to sing for their lives. But, It tells stories of love that exists in environments where it isn’t supposed to, and of bonds that push against systems designed to break them. Through characters like mizi and Ivan, Alien Stage perfectly encapsulates the feeling of what it’s like to be homosexual in a society that is overwhelmingly heteronormative.
