We Played 1v1 Commander... But With 4 Decks!!

My dad and I each piloted TWO decks simultaneously to practice for MagicCon Atlanta! Watch us homebrew a chaotic 4-deck 1v1 Commander battle. The Matchup: Quintorius, Loremaster & Maarika, Brutal Gladiator VS Kamahl, Heart of Krosa (partnered with Sakashima of a Thousand Faces) & Isshin, Two Heavens as One. We're hoping to play in the intergenerational Two-Headed Giant event at MagicCon Atlanta this fall. Since my dad has never played the format, we came up with a way to test it out... just the two of us. We acted as our own two-headed teams and figured out the rules as we went (shared life, shared board control, separate mana). Most of it was straightforward, but it definitely led to some complicated and confusing situations! We played three games total. One got cut short when it started snowballing too hard, which led us to rework our mulligan rules on the fly for game three as we continue to try to better balance this format compared to our usual 1v1 Kitchen Table Commander.
