Peugeot / Citroen Electric Power Steering Pump Repair

Repair error C1414 C1415 P0606. Resolder the 3 phase inverter ICs TLE7222F and TLE7188F, and the through hole pins. To start, remove exhaust clamp with a 16mm spanner. Remove 2 x exhaust rubber mounts with a 10mm spanner. Remove 3 x electrical plugs from motor unit. Remove 2 x T40 torx bolts. Remove unit awkwardly from between exhaust, heat shield and framing. Remove cover bolts with T20 torx bit. Resolder the 3 phase inverter ICs TLE7222F and TLE7188F. 48 pins each. Resolder the through hole pins, I did it just in case. I reconnected the 3 electrical plugs before I remounted it and with the engine on, the motor was spinning. I then reinstalled the motor and the issue was resolved.
