NWT wildfires: Anxiety in Behchokǫ̀ as Yellowknife fire burns
Yellowknife ordered its entire population of about 20,000 people to leave over a nearby wildfire, which is sitting just 15 kilometres from the city. Many of those evacuees took refuge in the community of Behchokǫ̀, the nearest town by road to the capital of the Northwest Territories.
