Narrated by Audrey Hall. Film starts with the previous years Christmas Lights switch-on. Bonfire Night at Fulledge Recreation Ground. Remembrance Sunday 1999. Craft Fair in marquee. The Jimmy McIlroy stand is officially opened by Jimmy himself. In January 2000 the Millenium Concert was held at St. Peters Church in Burnley. Feb 15th a Thwaites Brewery horse and cart launches the Burnley and Pendle Hospice Lottery at Towneley Hall. Burnley Light Opera present Carmen. Burnley FC got promoted to the Championship, as former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright helps the Clarets win promotion. Bus Tour Through Town., Fire at Rectella a barbeque manufacturer in Burnley. New T. J. Hughes store in Burnley’s market area opens. Lizzie Jones performs her historical pageant at St Peters Church. Princess Anne visits Read stables Gawthorpe Hall staged a Civil War re-enactment Sycamore Avenue Carnival. Weavers Triangle opens. Fun Day at Towneley Hall. Riley Snooker company welcomes Stephen Hendry to their new premises on Network 65. Dyneley Hall opens its doors to visitors. Clarion House. Burnley Pot Fair. Fundraising at Pendleside Hospice. Millennium Summer Ball at Towneley. Prestige Group in Burnley closes and in September demolition work begins.
