Donald Trump’s savage screaming match with Republicans over Iran war
US President Donald Trump has gotten into a screaming match with Republican Senator Bill Cassidy, according to sources and lawmakers in attendance. The tense shouting match came during a meeting with Senate Republicans over finding a way to pass voter ID, which quickly devolved into a discussion over the war in Iran. Senators described the US president as being “mad as a murder hornet” despite the president describing the discussion afterwards in a positive light. Reports indicated that Trump raised his voice at Cassidy for joining with three other Republicans in a vote to limit his wartime authority. Cassidy reportedly called Trump his brother, to which the president replied that Cassidy wasn’t his brother. “[Trump] did not particularly care for my comments, raised his voice, I lost my temper – it’s the Irish in me.”
