Hospital de Amor - Institucional

A leading center for cancer treatment, prevention, education, and research, Hospital de Amor (formerly known as Hospital de Câncer de Barretos) provided a total of 2,033,894 services (including consultations, procedures, and examinations) across all its units throughout Brazil in 2024. During this period, 598,229 people from 2,540 Brazilian municipalities were treated. This means that last year, HA cared for someone from 45.6% of the country's cities, completely free of charge. Currently, the institution's operational deficit exceeds R$ 1 million per day, according to the latest official report. Based on the ideals of humanization, HA has outstanding differentiators, especially within the context of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), such as being a branch of the world's largest minimally invasive surgery training center – IRCAD; One of the largest cancer prevention services in Brazil, with the largest number of mobile units for screening and early detection in the world; and a Teaching and Research Institute focused on oncology, including a Center for Research in Molecular Oncology, which provides not only the possibility of great advances in scientific research in the area and the training of highly qualified professionals, but also more personalized and assertive treatment for its patients.
