Jyväskylä is located on the northern coast of Lake Päijänne in the Central Finland region. It has almost 142 000 inhabitants (7th biggest in Finland). The city is surrounded by lakes, and the city center is located on the shore of lake Jyväsjärvi. This walk starts from Jyväskylä Train station, aka Matkakeskus in Finnish, and continues to kuokkala bridge with a view to the Jyväsjärvi lake, which is frozen and ends in KOAS Humppa, Humppakuja, Jyväskylä.
