Bobby Brown - Don't Be Cruel (1988) - An Album Retrospective

Bobby Brown's second studio album released on June 20th, 1988, Don't Be Cruel. The album would become the best selling album of 1989 and the second best-selling New Jack Swing album of all time. Each single went on to be classics: Every Little Step, Roni, Rock Wit'cha, Don't Be Cruel and My Prerogative. The latter reached number one and helped secure Bobby's status as a crossover solo act in the U.S and overseas. A collaborative production effort of L.A Reid, Babyface and Teddy Riley who helped forge the Bobby's signature sound. A testament to his increasing popularity, Bobby was featured on the Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack on it's hit on On Our Own.
