Restoration Of Fuel Pump Housing | Fuel Tank Cleanout | Seadoo 950 Di

In this video I am Rebuilding a Seadoo 950 951 Di Fuel Pump Housing. I am cleaning it up, repairing, and rebuilding the Seadoo fuel pump housing/assembly, this procedure can have similarities in other models, but may not be completely the same. The customer had advised me that he had cleaned out the fuel tank, meaning he sucked out the gas in the tank already. By looking at the condition of the fuel pump assembly when I got it out, it obviously did not matter, because the badly rusted fuel pump had already contaminated the new fuel that was put in the tank. After removing the fuel pump housing, I assessed what parts were needed to repair the ski properly. Almost everything related to the fuel delivery on the pump assembly was not salvageable for reuse except for the aluminum pump housing. I did use rust remover soak to remove the corrosion on the fuel level sender and the top pump housing section, with the terminal connections. It worked out very well so that those parts were salvageable for reuse. I purchased a complete Quantum Fuel Systems Fuel pump kit that pretty much came with everything needed to replace all of the damaged components on this fuel pump assembly.
