Basket weaving at Mabele village in Botswana

We visited the Lwaavo Art & Culture Centre in the Mebele village where our sweet host Harriet welcomed us with song and dance and the fun traditional ululation that is part of every celebration in Botswana. She explained how they get the colors and the process of the basket weaving art. Amazing that it can take three weeks of eight hour days to produce a basket! They are gorgeous though and they provide a living for several families of the community. Fun and interesting visit.
