長良川 と 白山信仰の聖地 │ Nagara river runs through Shirotori town , Gifu

鮎釣りで賑わう真夏の長良川、そして川沿いの田園風景を走る長良川鉄道の終着駅手前には長滝白山神社があります。岐阜県郡上市の白鳥にあるこの神社は白山信仰の聖地の一つであり、美濃禅定道と呼ばれる白山修験道の拠点です。今回、長滝白山神社から前谷集落を経て、その先の美濃禅定道の旧街道入口付近まで撮影しました。付近には、正ヶ洞棚田と呼ばれる戦国時代に開墾された小さな棚田があります。禅定道はここから桧峠を越え、石徹白集落そして白山中居神社へと続きます。 The Nagara River flows through the mountain town of Shirotori in Gifu. Nagataki Hakusan Shrine is located on the riverside of this town. This shrine is famous as a sacred place for Mt. Hakusan worship. A long time ago, many people entered the mountain aiming for Mt.
