Ep 36 - Crucifix orchids and mum -Potting them.
Crucifix orchids are such a giving plant. A person only has to have scrap of a stem, and a willingness to wait, and making sure you tuck them into a nearby shrub, or put them into the orchid mix, like I have, or put some mulch or a pile of leaves over the roots, and you are good to go. A few years later you will have a bunch and flowers. Fortunately I don't have to wait that long, mum allowed me to have some plantlets from her bunches of orchids. I choose three different colours, and mum help me pot them up into three square pots I picked up on the side of the road. The person didn't want them anymore. I pick up lots of bits and pieces that way. I live in Zone 11a, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
