Bose SoundTouch retten: Die Lösung, auf die ich gewartet habe

Rescuing Bose SoundTouch after the cloud shutdown – this time with Category 4: On-Device. In previous installments, I've explored various approaches: Category 1: Commercial solutions like Bosman Category 2: Local, self-hosted solutions Category 3: Server-hosted solutions like Soundploy Category 4: On-Device solutions In this video, I'm testing STR / SoundTouch Reborn. The crucial difference in this final category: STR runs directly on the Bose SoundTouch. No Raspberry Pi. No NAS. No Docker. No permanently running server. If everything works, the speaker can once again do what many bought it for: Press a button. Radio plays. And right at the end, things get particularly exciting for my channel: Because the preset buttons can not only start radio stations, but also, in the future, trigger Home Assistant actions. ───────────────────────────── IMPORTANT LINKS ─────────────────────────── STR / SoundTouch Reborn: https://st-reborn.de/de/ ───────────────────────────── CHAPTERS ──────────────────────────── 00:00 The Bose SoundTouch is working again 00:08 What Category 4 is 00:44 What happened and the four categories of Bose rescue 02:25 Important: Firmware Update 02:54 Important note before the Installation 04:10 Category 4: What is the new STR solution? 05:42: Why STR specifically? 06:52 STR Installation directly on the SoundTouch 08:10 Internet radio and preset buttons 09:15 STR installation 11:48 Why it's even better than before 12:05 Home Assistant outlook - Webhook 13:55 Conclusion: Category 4 is the finale ───────────────────────────── MY CONCLUSION ──────────────────────────── Category Category 1: Commercial solutions Category 2: Local self-hosted solutions Category 3: Server-hosted solutions Category 4: On-device For my use case, Category 4 is currently the most elegant solution.
