How to remove the Sunroof +Sunshade in a 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban

You do NOT need to drop the headliner to do this. Mine was out already but it is not necessary. *REINSTALLING THE SHADE:* Be careful when reinstalling. The best way I found to reinstall it was to slide it in from the front of the truck. There is just enough space to get the first two sliders in the track. Carefully and slowly push the headliner further towards the back of the truck while keeping an eye on the shade fabric to make sure it doesn't tear from being pinched. To get it under the sunroof push bar (the bar that stops the shade coming out and pushes it back when opening the sunroof), use a long screwdriver or flat prying tool to lift the bar and get the rear lip of the sunshade under it. You will have to use significant force to get it to slide past the bar and pop out the other side. Nothing should break though. All in all, it might be better to completely drop the entire sunroof assembly from the underside but this requires removing the headliner which is a pain.
