Sermon Notes The Gift of Jesus Pastor John Lindell December 6th, 2020 James River Church Isaiah 9:6 (ESV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 1st Jesus Came as God’s Gift Isaiah 9:6a (ESV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NIV) Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 1:14 (NLT) So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. 2nd Jesus Came to Lift Your Burdens Isaiah 9:6a+b (ESV) For to us a child is born; to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, Philippians 2:10-11 (NIV) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
