Continuation of previous example ( • Flexible Diaphragms I - Allocating Loads t... ). Illustrates how to divide loads to the various elements along the line of resistance proportionally to their rigidity or stiffness. Recorded for CE 4650 at Cal State LA. Note: Typographical error - the rigidity calculations use "3" instead of "0.3". However, the resulting calculation is correct (consistent with "0.3"). The error is only typographical.
