I Caved and Removed My Maxxair Fan for a Velit 2000R Mini | Van Vlog Ep 27
Hello everyone! Welcome to episode 27 of my van vlog building series. In this vlog I remove one of my MaxxAir fans and replace it with a Velit 2000R Mini AC unit. It wasn't an easy decision, but after doing some small camping trips, I didn't like having to travel with the weather... The other item that made me really consider this change was having peace of mind with my pup. Even with the two fans, the back of the van still got pretty warm in the weather. With this neat little AC unit, I would not have to worry about places that weren't dog-friendly anymore because my pup could simply stay in the cool van comfortably for long periods of time. I also invested in Waggle, which is a neat temperature pet monitor. All in all, this AC unit has been great at keeping Angus cool. My insulation system is proving to be working great, so the cool air really stays in the van. The Velit Mini comes with a remote and has a handy dandy app that lets me edit the fan speed and temperature as I please! Let me know if you have any questions about the AC unit or if I should do a review video in the comments below! I bought my 2021 Ram ProMaster, Angus, with one goal in mind: to build something that would help me travel, camp, and explore the world with my dog. I’m converting Angus while working full-time, with the goal of creating more freedom to travel and work from the road in the future. I started this build not knowing if I could really do it on my own, but little by little, I’m proving to myself that I can. I hope my journey shows other people that they’re capable of chasing the dreams and goals that once felt impossible, even if they have to figure it out one step at a time!
