Llauset Reservoir by Motorcycle COMPLETE The Llauset Reservoir is located at 2,200 meters above sea level. It is the largest reservoir in the Llauset Valley, in the Ebro River basin. It is located in the municipality of Montanuy in La Ribagorza. Originally a glacial lake, it was artificially enlarged in 1983. It has a capacity of 17 hm³, which is used for hydroelectric production, and is connected to the Baserca Reservoir via the Moralets reversible hydroelectric plant. The dam is 82 meters high, the reservoir is 291 meters long, and covers an area of ​​45.0 hectares. Access to the dam is via a paved road, currently in very poor condition, which ends at a parking lot. From there, along the GR 11, you can reach the Cap de Llauset Refuge in approximately one hour, and from there, you can reach multiple locations, including Vallibierna Peak.
