More than Football Awards Shortlist

Ramon Garriga, project manager at the Barça Foundation, will be presenting their nominated programme ‘Sport as a tool of inclusion in Juvenile Justice Centers’ which enhances the development of skills that promote the social inclusion of young people deprived of their liberty. FC Twente’s foundation project ‘Turkse Tukkers aan Zet’, ‘Integration of the Turkish Community in Twente’ was explained by their Head of CSR, Bas Schreurs. This programme follows an integrated approach: they focus on families, not individuals. Successfully integrated Turkish Dutch citizens play a key role and act as role models for their own community in the Netherlands. Anna Pencheva presented the project 'Improve Yourself' of PFC Ludogorets 1945. ‘The city in which the club is located and operates is specific to our country. Several communities live in it and the club is a determining factor for the whole region. We are aware of our responsibility and we are strongly socially engaged.The idea of the project is to help people to improve themselves using the good extract of the football and sport in general – to be healthy, to be strong, to be fast, to be smart, to be the first. The goal is in striving to achieve and require more of yourself.' Craig Wilson presented the 'Big Hearts Supporters' Movement'. Big Hearts Supporters are a leading light in Scottish football and remain at the centre of everything that Big Hearts does. On average every year, they contribute to more than 4,000 hours of meaningful support changing the lives of hundreds of vulnerable adults and children. In 2020 amidst the pandemic, over 145 brand-new Big Hearts Supporters stepped up to volunteer.
