Widowhood Isn’t About Becoming Strong… It’s About This Instead
As widows, we are told so many times… “Oh… you’re so strong.” And sometimes, honestly, we want to punch the people who say it… because we do not feel strong at all. What people don’t see is that we aren’t trying to be strong. We’re learning how to walk into this new life with courage… even while we’re afraid. What we are actually doing is creating stability. And that matters — because stability tells our brain it doesn’t have to push, perform, or “buck up.” There is nothing here you have to force your way through. In this episode, we talk about attachment bonds with our person… and why losing them can leave us feeling so disoriented and lost. If you’re looking for support, here are a few gentle places to begin: 💛 Grief and Me — my free support group. I would love to see you there. Join the community at ginasevey.com 💛 The Gentle Grief Guide — a $19 resource designed to help you find gentleness and steadiness inside your grief journey. If you are not fully satisfied, I will refund you! That's how much I believe in this guide. 💛 A New Way to Stand — my course for widows who are ready to find their footing again. If this speaks to you, comment STAND below. 💛 And if you’re feeling like… “I really need someone to walk with me one-to-one,” I offer 3–6 month private coaching experiences. You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here as your guide.
