1984 Topps Baseball | 36-Card Display | The Summer of 1984

In this video, I revisit the 1984 Topps Baseball set through the memories, players, and stories that made the summer of 1984 so memorable. From Don Mattingly's breakout season and the Yankees' batting race with Dave Winfield to Alan Trammell's remarkable year, Steve Garvey's unforgettable postseason, and a young Bret Saberhagen just beginning his major league journey, and Jim Palmer taking his final bow, this display became much more than a collection of baseball cards. For me, these thirty-six cards have become a scrapbook of one remarkable baseball season and a reminder of what it was like to grow up in the summer of 1984. I hope this video brings back a few memories of your own. All the cards shown are from my personal collection. The packs, photos and Trammell magazines are various images I have pulled from Google Searches. The intro I use for all my videos is the bumper from PBS used during the 1970s and 1980s:    • PBS logo from 1970's   Opening clips are Wendy's "Where's The Beef", Miami Vice Intro, 1984 President Reagan Re-election, NBA oOmmisioner David Stern announcing the drafting of Michael Jordan, the movie Terminator and the 1984 World Series. The music used when showing my display case and at the end of the video is Eyes Without a Face by BIlly Idol (Instrumental Version):    • Billy Idol - Eyes Without A Face - (Instru...   The music used in the remaining sections of the video is Sierras from iMovie. I create these videos simply because I enjoy sharing my collection and the stories behind the cards. My channel is a hobby, and I don't monetize my content. If you enjoy these videos, your comments, memories, and conversations are what I look forward to the most. Thank you for watching.
