One of our all-time favorite vacation destinations is the Outer Banks of North Carolina. These islands are a popular beach vacation spot on the east coast for a reason. Over a hundred miles of beaches - many of them uncrowded, all of them beautiful. But there is a lot more to an OBX (popular abbreviation for the Outer Banks) vacation than just beaches.
