This Proves How Pointless Diminishing Returns Currently Is

The impact of the diminishing returns system in Dead by Daylight has been virtually silent. Outside of this system indirectly nerfing certain meme builds, all its really established is that the already strong, meta perks should remain strong and meta. There's no sign of any balance changes in the near future, as there's no summer midchapter patch for some reason. And since the success of diminishing returns hinges on actual game-changing perk reworks or buffs/nerfs, there's currently not much to defend about the system itself. However, in my adventure to experiment with a non-meta build, I discovered even MORE evidence as to how pointless diminishing returns currently is. It's truly outlandish that this system was plopped into DBD with not much care. Where are the meaningful balance changes to help spice up the meta? I genuinely don't understand the lack of action on this. It seems pretty basic if you ask me. And the neat thing that gets lost in this unexpected case study is that great skill check sizes are...well...just watch the video to find out.
