Artur Rother, Conductor The RIAS Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Recorded in 1953 Leopoldine Josefine “Poldi” Mildner (1913–2007) was an extraordinary Austrian-Argentine pianist who studied at the Vienna Conservatory under Hedwig Kanner-Rosenthal (the wife of legendary Liszt pupil Moriz Rosenthal) and received occasional artistic guidance from giants like Sergei Rachmaninoff and Artur Schnabel.
