How to crochet a better granny square | Start a new round without chaining | Standing Double Crochet

Crochet tip! Work your first stitch in a round WITHOUT CHAINING. Crochet a better looking granny square with the standing double crochet. Standing double crochets will improve the look of your crochet projects, when you bring in a new colour you won't have a funny looking first stitch or an obvious spot where you attached the new yarn.
