Pour into well-greased pan. Bake in oven 12-15 minutes. Oatmeal Fruit Bars Blend thoroughly 6 teaspoons shortening or soft butter 6 teaspoons brown sugar Add 1/4 cup flour 1/8 teaspoon baking soda Dash salt 3 tablespoons quick-cooking rolled outs Mix well. Place one-half of the mixture in well-greased pan. Press down in pan with fingertips or back of spoon. Spread with 2 tablespoons strained baby food, apple sauce, marmalade. Bake in oven about 10 minutes. Use remaining half for a second batch of cookies. Frosting (Cut this into 1/3) 3 cups powdered sugar 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1 to 2 tablespoons milk In medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and butter with spoon or electric mixer on low speed. Stir in vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the milk.
