Transforming Transport In Trondheim
The AtB fleet of Van Hool eco-hybrid trambuses introduced a rapid transit network to Trondheim in Norway, operating on HVO renewable diesel fuel to reduce net GHG carbon emissions by up to 90%. Cummins clean, quiet B6.7 generates the electricity to charge the battery pack, with a seamless transition between engine-on and engine-off driving modes. See the remarkable 24 metre long bi-articulated trambus in action in this video, together with some great drone views of the historic city. Also making an appearance in Trondheim is the zero-emissions ASKO truck, powered by Cummins hydrogen fuel cell technology.
