Mr. Pornpinit Sripramuan, or "O," 33, from Surat Thani Province, is a young palm farmer who works two jobs simultaneously: head of the environmental department at a latex factory and helps his family grow their palm plantations. O's family has been growing palm plants for 20 years and they still work together. Father Juk - O's father, who is responsible for arranging palms and driving a truck. Mother Dee - O's mother, who helps arranging palms and loading them into trucks. O - He tends palm trees, prunes palms, cuts palm bunches, and arranges palms. O currently has a full-time job as the head of the environmental department at a latex factory, responsible for treating wastewater. He primarily helps his father grow palms on weekends or after work. What motivated O to choose two careers was that working only one job wouldn't be enough to cover his living expenses. So, he chose to work both his full-time job and his plantation. When asked if he gets any time off, he simply replied, "No." O graduated from Surat Thani Rajabhat University with a degree in industrial management. Since his entire family has been planting, he has gained a background in arable farming, but he continues to learn and expand. The hardest part of farming is care. It requires knowledge of soil, air, water, and, most importantly, fertilizer. "You have to choose the right one for your palm's needs. If you apply the wrong fertilizer, your life will change." Palm tree care doesn't have to be daily, but it does require consistent care. If you don't, you'll produce less. "You have to choose the right fertilizer. When you get good fertilizer, you'll produce better, which will increase your yield. Your family will be happy." Omo helps her parents do something different and build on their past by acquiring knowledge from the internet and applying this knowledge to farming. In the past, without serious research, palm bunches weighed 2-5 kilograms. Now, they weigh up to 60 kilograms. The heaviest palm I've ever seen was this year, nearly 100 kilograms. However, not every tree needs to be truly healthy. After applying fertilizer according to the palm's needs, the small bunches have grown larger, weighed well, and sold at a good price.
