Part 8: Austin Allegro Type R Sleeper K20 Turbo build // NEW Rear Suspension & Billet Turbo Manifold. The daft project Allegro 2 door of Jonny Smith continues in the FabCo fabrication shop. In this episode FabCo bossman Adam turns most of his attention to the rear end, where the original trailing arm suspension is binned in favour of a custom independent tubular set-up, similar to an R53 BMW Mini Cooper. At the front end a large piece of the puzzle has been finally made and trial fitted, that being the inlet manifold that is stubby enough to clear the Allegro Type R's full size Civic radiator and relocated alternator. This was the very first of a new design that was made (in billet aluminium) by T7 Design ( https://www.t7design.co.uk/ ).
