Solitude and Sketching in Switzerland

I went for hikes, wrote a lot, practiced painting, swam in cold ponds, and slowly felt myself return to centre. I spent a lot of time on this trip slowing down and paying attention— noticing not only the beauty in the landscape but also the beauty in the journey of the past few years of my life. The hills and valleys I have walked through. The places, people and seasons of uncertainty, loss, and becoming that have shaped the person I am now. I filled pages with words and drawings— my pen and pencil tracing memories, reflections, and the places that have left their imprint on me. This trip reminded me that creativity is always there, waiting patiently for us to return to a slower rhythm, and that sometimes the most meaningful journeys are the ones that bring us back into ourselves.
