How To Replace Glow Plugs - 3.0 Diesel, Jeep Grand Cherokee
This video showcases the process of replacement of the 6 glow plugs on the Mercedes 3.0 Liter Diesel in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The process is the same for other vehicles that use this popular engine such as ML Series Mercedes and Sprinter Vans, among others. The diagnostics performed, prior to replacement, could be shown if requested but it was simply an active code for a #6 glow plug open. I tested the module and harnesses for continuity , opens and shorts - all was OK. It was decided by the owner after a discussion to replace all 6 glow plugs due to mileage and desire to upkeep the maintenance of the vehicle.
