To anyone who likes Ukrainian dance, this is a lost treasure from 70 years ago. You are seeing this for the first time via the Ed Monton Archive. The Marunczak Ukrainian Dance Group of Montreal performed in the 1957 Canadian color movie The Pink Carousel. The film is a medley of Canadian stage talent popular in the 1950s and is hosted by famed Canadian actor Austin Willis. The producers of Pink Carousel went bankrupt before the film was formally released and was subsequently lost. The Marunczak Dance Group was formed in 1945 in Montreal by Peter Marunczak. Marunczak is the soloist in this dance with the blue pants. This is a rare piece of Ukrainian Canadian history. Please help me identify the other dancers.
