A destination that seems straight out of a medieval fairy tale, but hides a recent past that will leave you speechless. We begin by wandering its cobblestone streets, discovering the striking Muslim cemeteries, and getting lost in its colorful traditional markets. Of course, we couldn't miss trying local delicacies like authentic baklava and other typical sweets from the region. But the heart of this trip is the Stari Most, the Old Bridge of Mostar. We cross this imposing stone structure and delve into its more poignant side: the story of its destruction during the war of the 1990s and the miracle of its reconstruction. To truly grasp its scale, we descend to the Neretva River's beach to admire it from below. To end the day like true locals, we went to eat at a traditional restaurant, a hidden gem away from the tourists, and finished with a quick visit to the city's shopping mall to experience the contrast of modern Mostar.
